The Yale Film Study Center (FSC) is committed to the preservation of, and access to, resources for the scholarly study and appreciation of cinema. Activities include managing a continually expanding collection of films in most celluloid, video and digital formats. The collection comprises over 17,000 DVDs, 6,500 VHS tapes, 640 laser discs, 3,500 16mm prints and 500 films on 35mm. The Film Study Center also facilitates exhibition of films in two state-of-the-art screening facilities on the Yale campus, and offers on-site viewing in two classrooms and 12 individual viewing booths.
